BELFAST PRIDE FESTIVAL 22 TO 31 JULY 2022
PRIDE PARADE: SATURDAY 30 JULY 2022 AT 1PM
ASSEMBLE: CUSTOM HOUSE SQUARE FROM 11.30AM
The 32nd Annual Belfast Pride Festival is returning to the streets of Belfast and will take place from 22 July to 31 July and involves a ten-day long programme of events, ranging from lectures, exhibitions to performing arts. The festival culminates on Pride Day, Saturday 30 July 2022 with the Pride Parade through Belfast City Centre followed by a Party in the Square. The assembly point for the parade is Custom House Square, which will be opened from 11.30am. The parade itself commences at 1pm. For the first time this year trade unions will be marching together. NIPSA members will be assembling at 12 noon at the NIPSA stand in ‘The Pride Village’, Donegall Quay (beside the Big Fish).
This year the Belfast Pride Community Stalls ‘The Pride Village’ will be held in Donegall Quay, Belfast (beside the Big Fish) and will be open from 12.00pm.
In line with the objects of NIPSA which is to promote equal opportunities for all members and to develop positive policies to promote equality of opportunity, NIPSA is supporting the festival and pride day. NIPSA LGB&T flags and banner will be carried on the parade and we will have a stall at the ‘The Pride Village.’ On behalf of the General Council, we wish to encourage branches and members to take part in the week’s activities and particularly the Pride Parade on Saturday 30 July 2022.
