NIPSA, the Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance is the largest trade union in Northern Ireland with over 47,000 members.
NIPSA is organised into two main groups; the Civil Service Group and the Public Officers' Group.
The Civil Service Group has a membership over 19,000 covering civil servants and the staff of public bodies employed on civil service terms and conditions.
The Public Officers Group over 27,500 members and covers employees of Education Authority, Health and Social Services bodies and HSC Trusts, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Local Government, Libraries NI and a number of other public bodies and voluntary organisations.
