No going back to the dark days of violence and murder

Alison Millar, General Secretary NIPSA said it was disgusting and abhorrent that a young journalist Lyra McKee lost her life last night in carrying out her job.  It is totally unacceptable that violence has returned to our streets.  On behalf of NIPSA I wish to extend our condolences to Lyra's family and to the NUJ who have lost a friend and comrade.

There can be no going back to the dark days of violence and murder.
