NIPSA Virtual LGBTQI+ Equality Training Event
As part of LGBT Awareness Week (17-23 May), which aims to raise awareness and advance education on matters affecting the LGBTQI+ community, NIPSA LGB&T Group is organising a virtual equality training event on Wednesday 19 May 2021 from 10.30am to 1.00pm via zoom.
The training event is open to all members and aims to help members understand:
- The historical and legal context of issues affecting LGBTQI+ members;
- Key social and employment issues facing LGBTQI+ members;
- The branch representative’s role in relation to LGBTQI+ members; and
- Why these issues are trade union issues.
We would encourage members to make a special effort to attend this important training. Please circulate as widely as possible.
To register please email your details to Cathy McConnell by no later than Monday 17 May 2021.
