Further protests have been called in response to recent racist incidents, social media posts and demonstrations by far-right extremists.
NIPSA has a proud history of standing against the division of working-class communities whether it is along sectarian or racial lines. Far-right extremists are small in number and have little support in society. Nonetheless, it is important that their attempts to divide workers are challenged. Their divisive antics weaken our ability to carry out united campaigns to achieve better living standards for members and to protect the services we deliver to communities. These people have a history of targeting public service workers, including health service staff, undermining the services we deliver.
