General Secretary

Alison Millar is NIPSA’s General Secretary and is charged with supervising the general work of the union as well as overall responsibility for the management of all the staff and finances. She is NIPSA’s main representative on many of the civil and public service negotiating bodies and is active at various levels within the Irish Congress of Trade Unions

Deputy General Secretary

Kieran Bannon, has strategic and management responsibility for the Public Officers’ Group including Health, Housing, Libraries NI, Local Government and Education. Given the significant issues in the Education Authority, Kieran has day to day responsibility for the Education Authority and the Further Education Sector. He has overall responsibility for the NIPSA Regional Office in Derry

Research/Policy Officer

John McVey, Policy and Research Officer, has responsibility for the development of research based policies and positions on all matters of political and public discussion impacting upon the public sector.

Dooley Harte, Assistant Secretary (Acting), has responsibility for Aramark, Construction Industry Training Board, Cross Border Bodies, Probation Board, Northern Ireland Authority Utility Regulator, Northern Ireland Commission for Children and Young People, Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, NSL, Tourism Northern Ireland, Commissioner for Complaints, Electoral Office and Equality Commission.

Paddy Mackel, Assistant Secretary, has responsibility for Housing, Local Government and Libraries NI. In Local Government.

Kim Graham, Higher Executive Officer, has responsibility for Newry, Mourne and Down, North Down and Ards and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Councils, NI Fire and Rescue Service, SERCO, NILGOSC and Local Government Staff Commission.

Róisín Graham, Higher Executive Officer, has responsibility for Education Authority: Belfast Region, Northern Regional College, Belfast Metropolitan College, Linehall Library, NILA, NICIE. Róisín is also NIPSA Union Learning Project Coordinator.
