Following on from the previous Bulletin around Management correspondence in respect of NIHE Holiday Pay Agreement proposals, NIPSA has today updated its advice via email to Management to include:

“Following on from our recent correspondence in respect of proposed NIHE Holiday Pay Agreement, I have received a recent update from NIPSA to advise that as a consequence of a mediation process entered into between NIPSA and the PSNI in relation to Agnew, NIPSA are no longer in a position at this point to enter into any agreement which compromises the full extent of the law as determined by the Northern Ireland Court of Appeal in Agnew.

NIPSA’s position is to stay any current negotiations and I will now take steps to issue this statement in the form of a bulletin to NIHE NIPSA members.”

NIPSA would therefore wish to update the advice for members at this present time in line with the above statement and advise stay any current decisions in regards to individual agreements until further updates are received.
