Following my decision to retire later this year it will be necessary to hold a General Secretary Election.

NIPSA’s General Council have agreed the timetable for that election which will mean that the membership data to allow you to take part in that election will need to be with the Independent Scrutineer appointed to conduct the election by 21 May 2021.

The ballot which is governed by legislation, NIPSA must send ballot papers to the address you indicated to NIPSA when you joined as your “preferred correspondence address”.

To ensure that as many members as possible have the opportunity to vote in this important election we wish to confirm with members their correct correspondence address.

Many members will have their "preferred correspondence address" as their workplace address with Covid-19 working from home practices in place you may wish to amend to your home address to ensure you have the opportunity to vote in the NIPSA General Secretary Election you should either email This email address is being protected from spambots. NIPSA cannot amend a member's preferred correspondence address without their express permission.
