The 8th March 2019 marks International Women’s Day (IWD). It is a global day celebrating the struggles and achievements of women all over the world, a day which grew from the struggles of working class women to form trade unions and the fight for women’s right to vote and equality.
To mark IWD, NIPSA has organised a lunchtime protest on 8 March from 12.30pm to 1.00pm at Belfast City Hall.
We have also produced a leaflet and poster to advertise our event, click on the links at the bottom of the page to download.
We are calling on all members to show support for equality and social justice for women workers throughout the world. Please do all you can to maximise NIPSA participation at the protest.
