The 14th Annual Virtual Health and Safety Conference took place on 22 October 2024 to coincide with European Week for Safety and Health at Work.

To help us deliver our conference programme NIPSA were joined by two Keynote speakers and a number of panellists who brought with them a vast wealth of knowledge and insight relating to the difference that Health and Safety reps make within the workplace, the negative impact the economic crisis is having on those in work and on the crisis in mental ill-health and work related stress.

The H&S Conference Keynote speakers were:

  • Rory O’Neill (ICTU) who talked about the significance of the new Labour Inspection Convention for Health and Safety as a fundamental right and:
  •  Gerry Murphy (ICTU Assistant General Secretary) who spoke about the future of work and how Health and Safety Reps are making a difference.
