Yesterday the Employer’s Side of the National Joint Council (NJC) tabled a 2 year pay offer which for most NJC staff would mean a 1% pay increase from April 2016 and a further 1% increase from 2017, with higher increases for the lowest paid who are currently paid below the new government National Living Wage.
This offer falls far short of the Trade Union Side claim for £1 per hour for most staff.
All the Trade Union Side unions will need to consider the offer in detail including NIPSA’s Public Officers’ Group Executive Committee.
