Arrangements have been made for the 2021 NIPSA HSC Annual Delegate Conference which is as follows:

Date: Wednesday 13 October 2021

Time: 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Venue: Virtual, hosted by NIAVAC

As in previous years, branches are now being invited to submit relevant motions to be debated at conference – subject to the normal NIPSA standing orders requirements.

Motions Guidance

The HSC Annual Delegate Conference can only deal with motions/subject matters that arise solely within the HSC Sector.

Therefore Branches in constructing motions should be mindful of that and formulate motions to read, for example:

This conference instructs the HSC Central Panel to actively resist budget cuts within the Department of Health (DoH).

Motions that seek to formulate NIPSA Policy on wider public sector policy issues are more likely the remit of the General Council, Public Officers Group, Executive Committee and as such are likely to be ruled out of order.

Similar to previous format we intend inviting a number of guest speakers with a view to having a Question and Answer session on current HSC issues. With this in mind it would be ideal and helpful if each of the NIPSA branches would submit a number of motions to allow for the timetabling of this event. Please ensure that motions are submitted to me by 2.00 p.m. on Wednesday 1 September. Motions are submitted online. Click here to acceess and complete Form H1.

Your branch may also wish to give consideration to the number of delegates attending conference. Delegates are submitted online. Click here to access and complete Form H2: Nomination of Delegates.

Deadline is Wednesday 15 September and I will forward the Conference Agenda to your branches for information and consideration at a later stage.
