Holocaust Memorial Day 2018

Reminder to Branches

15 January 2018

Branches of Holocaust Memorial Day which is held on 27 January each year. This year the main Northern Ireland Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration will take place in The Millennium Forum in Derry/Londonderry at 7.00pm on Thursday 25 January 2018. This is a free ticketed event. Details can be obtained from the following website.

Holocaust Memorial Day is about commemorating all the communities who suffered as a result of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution, and demonstrating that the Holocaust is relevant to everyone in the world today.

‘The Power of Words’ is the theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2018. The aftermath of the Holocaust and of subsequent genocides continues to raise challenging questions for individuals, communities and nations. Holocaust Memorial Day 2018 asks us to think about what happens after genocide and of our own responsibilities in the wake of such a crime. It is NIPSA’s policy to support Holocaust Memorial Day.
